This is the Great Railway Game that was first released in 1974 and spawned a Series of 18xx Games around the World (1829 ,1830 etc etc)
The Game is very collectable not only because of its fantastic Game Play but also because of the Historically accurate Company named Cards used
This Version is the 3rd Edition from 1982 and covers Southern England from Darlington to the South Coast (In 1981 a Northern Version was released covering Northern England and Scotland)
1829 is a board game for 3–9 players set in 1829, the start of the railway era in the UK.
Each player attempts to buys shares in various railway companies and become a company director who manages operations, in order to make money.
The player with the most personal money when the bank goes broke is the winner of the game.

Each turn is divided into a stock-buying and stock-selling phase; and an operations phase allowing the Directors of those Companies to survey the Land , build Track,run Trains and collect revenue from operational lines; and at the company director's discretion distribute dividends to shareholders.
The player with the most shares in a company becomes the Company Director until such time as someone else buys more shares than the current Director owns.

There are three levels of Game play: the simple game, the intermediate game, and the full game.
The Game is for 2 to 9 Players , Aged 12 Years to Adult
The Game is Complete and the Contents are in Excellent Condition
The Box is in Very Good Condition for its Age.
