The Korean War: June 1950-May 1951 is an Operational level wargame simulation of the first year of the conflict for control of the Korean peninsula, from the first North Korean attack, through UN-forces invasion of Inchon and the subsequent drive into North Korea that unleashed the Chinese counter attack.
On 25th June 1950 the North Korean Peoples Army of South Korea.
For the next 3 Years the United States and its Allies were involved in a seesaw struggle that raged across the Peninsula.
Once the initial invasion was contained General Douglas MacArthur Commander in Chief of UN Forces masterminded the counter attack that shattered the North Koreans.
This subsequent counter attack unleashed the Communist Chinese Counter attack initially sending the United Nations Forces reeling back South until they re-grouped and stemmed the Chinese advance.
The Game contains everything from Air Assaults,Amphibious Assaults,Parachute Drops,Far East Command Combat Units,Armour,Infantry,Mine sweeping,Atomic Weapons, United Nations commitment and escalation,Limited or Full Chinese Intervention,Soviet and Chines Intervention etc etc
The Game comes with 5 Introductory Scenarios and one Advanced Scenario
The Game contains 520 Playing Pieces and 2 Large Detailed and Colourful Maps of the Korean Peninsula.
The Game is for 2 Players but can be Played Solitaire and is for Ages 15 Years to Adult.
The Game is Complete and the Contents are Very Good Condition with the Game Unplayed as the Counters are Unpunched from their Sheets (a few have come loose through Storage)
The Box is in Very Good Condition for its Age.
