Pirate and Traveler - Family Board Game by MB Games / Chad Valley (1960's)
This is a classic Travel and Adventure Game that was first released in 1908 and still captures Childrens and Adults Hearts today.
This is the very colourful and detailed 1960's version which was released by Chad Valley / MB Games and is one of the best versions as later Editions were released with a much simplified Map and less hazards and details which lost a bit of the Games Character.
All the Players begin the Game as Travelers and begin at the same Home Port in South Africa with the object being to Travel to 10 Places around the World , each player draws a card from the Pack which sends them on their First Journey , Each Card shows there Destination and what you will Trade (for Example Gold in Fort Yukon in Canada or Coffee in Acapulco in Mexico)  each Card has a Points Value which you keep secret from other Players.
When you reach your Destination you will then pick up your Next Destination Card, The First Player to hold 10 Cards then shouts "Pirates All" and each Player now becomes a Pirate whereupon they can attack other Players and steal there Cards.
The only way to save your Treasure (Trade Cards) is by reaching Greenland and depositing a maximum of 5 Cards, on doing this you return to your Home Port.
The Winner of the Game is the Player who reaches Greenland for a Second Time and who has the most points.
Around the World there are Hazard Spots which could send you to a different part of the World so your Journeys are never safe.
This is a Wonderful Game which is not only Fun but educational as you will Travel to exotic and unknown Places and once played will soon become a Favourite.
The Game is for 2 to 4 Players for Ages 7 Years to Adult.
The Game is Complete and the Contents are in Excellent Condition.
The Box is in Very Good Condition for its Age.
