Totopoly - The Great Horse Racing Board Game by Waddingtons (1960's)

Totopoly was first released in 1938 and there has been many editions over the Years which shows how good the Game Play is..
The object of the game is to Train the Horse that wins the race (alternately the Winner could be the Player who made the most Money at the end of the Game) .
There are up to 12 Horses in a Race which are split up into 4 Colour Categories (Black,Red which are the Heavyweight Horses or Yellow and Blue which are the Lightweight Horses) The Black Horses have the best Chance of Winning, followed by the Red,then the Yellow and finally the Blue, but as in Real racing any Horse can win.
Starting with £700, each player can buy horses and/or businesses in two steps, first by lot and then by auction.
Then with your Horse Purchased , your Horses make one lap around the Training Track . Here the players collect advantage and disadvantage cards to be used in the race. Also on the Training Track, the players gain or lose money that can be bet on the race. Once the players have circumnavigated the Training Track, the game board is flipped to reveal the Race Track.

The players may enter only 3 horses into the race. The players may bet on any horse to win. After the betting is over the race begins. The players roll one die and move their horses in turn, utilizing the cards earned during the first half of the game whenever it is felt to be advantageous. The Race Track also has a series of spaces which can give advantage to your Horse but also disadvantages as well so you must move carefully to avoid these.
The players who bet on the winning horse divide the money bet on the race minus ten percent (that goes to the Bookmaker).
This is a Great Game as endorsed by the Title , This is my favourite version as it comes in a large Box with Great Artwork which I have seen framed as it is that Good.
This Version also features Metal Horses which give the Game a Quality Feel.
The Game is for 2 to 6 Players but the more players the better the Game becomes , Aged 8 to Adult
The Games contents are in Good to Very Good Condition for its Age
The Box is in Good Condition for its Age, The Artwork is still Good and the Box is solid with no split corners but there is some heavy scuffing to the Corners of the Lid which I have tried to show in the Pictures and some discolouration to the base, but overall it is quite good as it is nearly 60 Years Old

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE SIZE OF THIS GAME IT CANNOT BE SENT OUTSIDE THE UK MAINLAND UNLESS WE ARE CONTACTED FIRST IN ORDER TO GIVE THE BEST POSTAL METHOD
