Pel-Mel Steeplechase Horse Racing Game by Newfooty (1958)
This is a Unique Game that is extremely Rare and was manufactured in very small numbers by the makers of Newfooty.
I have not seen a Game like this where you control the Horse as they Race along the Track and Jumps the Fences.
This Game was made in two Types a Two Horse Race or the 4 Horse Race. 
This Version is the Rare 4 Horse Type.
The Track which is about 5 ft Long is Laid out on a Table or Board . The 5 Fences are Fitted to the Track and each Horse Placed onto one of the Four Lanes.
Each Track has a Set of Reins and by Pulling  the Reins back and Forth the Horse will move forward , this is a Game of Skill as you must pull the Reins carefully
in order guide them along their Lane but not too fast that they fall over.
To Jump the Fences is another Technique , when you reach the base of the Fence take a long slow pull of the Reins which will start the Jump and then repeat to complete the jump.
This Takes Practice .
The Game is for 2 to 4 Players , Aged 10 Years to Adult

The Game is complete but 1 of the 2 " Plastic Winning Posts " is a Replacement
The Games Contents are in Very Good Condition for its Age.
The Large Box (20" x 12" ) is in Overall Very Good Condition for its Age.
